Nelson Mullins Elects 29 Attorneys to Partnership

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The partners of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP have elected 29 attorneys to the partnership effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The new partners are:

In Florida:

  • Kristin Ahr, West Palm Beach. Ahr has been practicing law in Florida for over 20 years, and focuses her practice on employment litigation and compliance, and commercial litigation.
  • Francisco Armada, Miami. Armada has a background in general civil litigation, complex commercial litigation, appellate law, and more.
  • Christopher Cavallo, Miami. Cavallo focuses his practice in the areas of white collar defense & government investigations, receiverships, and complex commercial litigation.
  • Melissa Gomberg, Miami. Gomberg’s practice is focused on business torts, contract disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, real estate litigation, and construction litigation.
  • Rachel Herlache, West Palm Beach. Herlache focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial real estate development, sales, and acquisitions.
  • Diane Karst, Boca Raton. Karst practices in the area of commercial real estate law.
  • Erin Kolmansberger, Miami. Kolmansberger practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation in federal and state trial courts and before arbitral panels.
  • Roman Petra, Orlando. Petra concentrates his legal practice on commercial real estate transactions, representing developers and funds.
  • Shaina Stahl, Orlando. Stahl concentrates her practice in the area of complex business litigation.
  • Leigh Williams, Orlando. Williams has more than 25 years of real estate experience and handles complex real estate transactions for developers and business owners.

All formerly of counsel, Nelson Mullins' new Florida partners joined in 2018 when the firm combined with Florida-based Broad and Cassel.

In Georgia:

  • Brandon Moulard, Atlanta. Moulard practices in the area of school and college law. A former of counsel, he joined the firm in 2013.
  • Andrew Mullen, Atlanta. Mullen practices in the area of real estate investment, finance, and restructuring. A former associate, he joined the firm in 2014.
  • Peter Munk, Atlanta. Munk practices in the area of commercial, business, and employment litigation. A former associate, he joined the firm in 2015.
  • Craig Nazzaro, Atlanta. Nazzaro practices with the firm's Financial Regulatory and Corporate team. A former of counsel, he joined the firm in 2017.
  • Jeff Perry, Atlanta. Perry practices in the areas of venture capital, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. A former of counsel, he joined the firm in 2018.
  • Amanda Sheneman, Atlanta. Sheneman practices in the area of real estate investment, finance, and restructuring. A former associate, she joined the firm in 2018.
  • Courtney Stough, Atlanta. Stough practices in the areas of emerging growth and venture capital as well as mergers and acquisitions. A former associate, she joined the firm in 2016.
  • Alex Strang, Atlanta. Strang practices in the area of real estate investment, finance, and restructuring. A former associate, she joined the firm in 2016.

In Maryland:

  • Kevin Penhallegon, Baltimore. Penhallegon focuses his practice on the defense of product liability matters as well as the defense of premises liability matters, construction litigation, and general commercial litigation. A former associate, he joined the firm in 2018.

In Massachusetts:

  • Susan Davis, Boston. Davis practices in the area of commercial real estate law. A former of counsel, she joined the firm in 2017.

In New York:

  • Gillian Deutch, New York. Deutch focuses her practice in the area of real estate finance. A former of counsel, she joined the firm in 2015.

In North Carolina:

  • Nichole Hayden, Charlotte. Hayden is a registered patent attorney and practices in the intellectual property group. Formerly of counsel, she rejoined the firm in 2015.
  • Robert Lindholm, Charlotte. Lindholm focuses his practice on government investigations and white collar defense, complex business litigation and class action defense, and e-discovery and litigation readiness. A former of counsel, he joined the firm in 2017.

In South Carolina:

  • Jarrett Coco, Columbia. Coco practices in the area of commercial litigation and business torts and joined the firm in 2012.
  • Eric Smith, Greenville. Smith focuses his practice on the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial real estate. A former associate, he joined the firm in 2014.
  • Geiza Vargas-Vargas, Charleston. Vargas-Vargas practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate law. A former of counsel, she joined the firm in 2016.
  • Blake Williams, Columbia. Williams practices with the Commercial, Appellate, Consumer, and Employment Litigation team and rejoined the firm in 2015.

In Washington, D.C.:

  • Woojin Shin, Washington, D.C. Shin serves Korean companies primarily in the infrastructure, automotive, defense, consumer goods, and heavy equipment industries. Formerly of counsel, Shin joined the firm in 2018.
  • Steven Shparber, Washington, D.C. Shparber is a member of the firm’s Energy & Utilities Industry group and advises clients on domestic and international projects and corporate financings. Formerly of counsel, he joined Nelson Mullins in 2018.
