  • Represented clients in business and appellate litigation in all South Carolina state and federal trial and appellate courts.
  • Defended dozens of medical negligence matters for a major rehabilitation hospital system.
  • Defended toxic tort/asbestos matters as lead South Carolina counsel and served on the trial team for multiple matters tried to verdict.
  • Served as the principal brief author in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Argued cases before the Supreme Court of South Carolina and South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Served as issues and appeals counsel in numerous toxic tort and catastrophic injury cases, helping to guide and oversee trial objections and ensure issue preservation.
  • Provided pro bono appellate representation to indigent persons in appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Drafted dozens of wills for first responders as part of the firm’s “Wills for Heroes” pro bono program.
  • Assisted the cities of Florence, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, and Greenville with organizing and establishing their respective Homeless Courts.
