ATLANTA — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and members of its Georgia government relations team have been recognized in JAMES Magazine’s annual rankings of top lobbyists and law firms. The firm ranked in the Top 10 of Law Firm Affiliated Government Affairs Firms.
Legislative consultant Helen Sloat was one of two inductees into the Lobbyists Hall of Fame this year, joining partner Stan Jones who previously earned a spot on the list. Sloat and senior associate George Ray were both named to the Top 100 Registered Lobbyists list. Project assistant Olivia Buckner also made her debut in the rankings as one of the Top 25 Lobbyists Rising Stars.
Rankings are based on the results of an online survey sent to subscribers as well as to lobbyists and government affairs specialists throughout the state. The publisher also consulted with a select bipartisan advisory group of state lawmakers to help ensure that the rankings are as comprehensive and accurate as possible, according to the publication.
