Nathan focuses his practice on products-liability and class-action defense and commercial litigation. He has litigation experience in more than 30 states, handling all aspects of a case — from discovery and Rule 702 hearings through to dispositive motions and trial.
With more than a decade of products-litigation experience, Nathan has represented manufacturers in industries including automobiles, recreational and off-road vehicles, medical devices, commercial cleaners, pesticides, and consumer products such as power tools and sports equipment. Whether fending off a putative class action or defending against catastrophic personal-injury or property-damage claims, he aggressively defends the integrity, utility, and safety of his client’s product.
Outside the products context, Nathan represents clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and sole proprietorships in complex commercial matters. He has litigated and arbitrated claims for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract and warranty, and breach of fiduciary duties.
Nathan also regularly consults with clients and colleagues on legal strategy and advanced motions, emphasizing the potential for judicious motions practice to narrow the issues, reduce exposure, and foster early resolution. In this role, he briefs and argues motions in complex, high-exposure cases and serves as in-court appellate-preservation counsel at trial.
