Jonathan assists clients with various intellectual property issues related to litigation and patent prosecution. Jonathan has assisted with asserting or defending against claims for patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and other intellectual property-related claims. He has also assisted with successfully defending against three preliminary injunction motions in patent infringement cases and one in a trademark infringement case. Jonathan has also drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications related to mechanical, software, and other arts. Jonathan has overcome numerous subject-matter eligibility rejections under 35 U.S.C. § 101 in software-related applications. Before joining Nelson Mullins, Jonathan clerked for Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne in the Eastern District of Texas, a jurisdiction known for its heavy patent infringement docket.
