He partners with clients across the country on a wide range of go-to market strategies, including B2B, B2C, marketplaces, SaaS, manufacturing, and distribution, spanning multiple industries.
He counsels clients on matters affecting a company’s cap table and investor equity, and he serves as outside general counsel. Galen assembles and leads teams of Nelson Mullins subject matter experts who provide proactive, practical advice, adjusting their approach as each business evolves.
His work covers both legal and business needs at every stage of growth, from formation and early funding to employment, tax, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, later funding rounds, commercial agreements, dispute resolution, secondary transactions, and exit events.
Galen builds strong relationships with investors, board members, and key service providers, including accountants, bankers, advisors, and consultants. Passionate about entrepreneurship, he is deeply connected within Midwest venture and technology communities. In addition to nearly 20 years of legal experience, he co-founded a leading early stage coworking space and established and manages the Midwest branch of a major venture index fund. He regularly participates in Midwest Series A financings alongside top investors nationwide.
