COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three accomplished employment law attorneys—Salvador Simao, Luis Hansen, and David Korsen. Formerly with Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP, the trio brings decades of combined experience in complex employment litigation, further strengthening the firm’s ability to advise and defend clients in today’s evolving workplace landscape.
“We are excited to welcome Salvador, Luis, and David to Nelson Mullins,” said Matthew G. Lindenbaum, partner in the Boston office and leader of the firm’s Boston Litigation Team, co-chair of the firm’s Securities Practice, and co-chair of the Sanctions Practice. “They are trusted advisors to their clients on issues of employment and labor law. Not only that, but they are proven litigators with extensive experience, which we think will be an immediate asset to our clients. They are a strong strategic fit for our team, they lead a fantastic practice, and their addition reflects our continued commitment to attracting top-tier talent and adding to what is already a premier employment and labor practice at Nelson Mullins.”
Simao is a partner in the New York office and a seasoned litigator with more than 25 years of experience in labor and employment law. He has represented both Fortune 100 and midsize companies in high-stakes, bet-the-company employment litigation, with a specialized focus on wage and hour compliance and class action defense.
Hansen is a partner in the Miami office and represents employers in a wide range of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower protection, and wage and hour disputes. He also advises clients on employee discipline, termination, personnel policies, and litigation prevention strategies.
Korsen joins the Atlanta office in an of counsel role, focusing his practice on employment litigation and counseling. He has represented employers in discrimination, retaliation, harassment, restrictive covenant, internal investigation, and wage and hour matters. Korsen has served as lead counsel in hundreds of employment cases in federal and state courts, as well as before the EEOC, OSHA, and state agencies.
Together, their experience spans high-stakes class actions, privacy and cybersecurity enforcement, and consumer protection disputes—positioning them to guide clients through some of today’s most complex legal challenges. Their addition bolsters Nelson Mullins’ ability to deliver proactive, cross-disciplinary defense strategies to employers nationwide.
