RALEIGH – Raleigh attorney Hannah Kays has been elected as president of the North Carolina Creditors Bar Association (NCCBA), a specialty bar association formed to serve the needs and promote the interests of attorneys who represent creditors in North Carolina. She will serve a two-year term.

Kays’ practice focuses on commercial litigation and business torts with a focus on creditors’ rights and insolvency litigation, consumer financial services litigation, judgment enforcement, and construction law. She provides her clients with statewide representation in both North and South Carolina. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and obtained her L.L.M. degree in International Business Law from Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

NCCBA attorneys are engaged in a broad variety of practices, ranging from transactional attorneys who draft loan and security agreements to bankruptcy, collection, and foreclosure attorneys who are retained to enforce the agreements and recover the funds owed their clients. Members of the NCCBA keep up with the latest news and information, which includes industry developments, pertinent cases from both the state and federal courts, relevant changes to the regulatory landscape, and commentary from other practitioners, according to the organization.
