Four Nelson Mullins Attorneys Selected for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2026 Programs
Four attorneys from Nelson Mullins have been chosen to participate in two programs offered by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) in 2026. Washington, D.C. partner Jay Shuman and Chicago partner Jennifer Park have been selected as LCLD Fellows. Greenville associate Rayja Fowler and San Diego associate Mikaela Jackson have both been chosen for the LCLD Pathfinder Program.
Selected by the general counsel and managing partners at LCLD Member corporations and law firms, the LCLD Fellows are practicing attorneys with eight to 15 years of experience who participate in training sessions and have opportunities to interact with key legal and business leaders from large U.S. corporations. The program also allows participants to learn from other legal leaders and experts in learning and development. Since its inception, it has built a reputation for helping to launch participants into top legal positions.
“The LCLD Fellows Program brings tomorrow’s leaders to the next level,” said Shuman. “I’m proud to represent Nelson Mullins and eager to explore new ideas, forge strong relationships, and grow alongside this inspiring community.”
“I’m inspired by the commitment the LCLD community shows to advancing leadership and diversity,” said Park. “Participating in this program will allow me to grow both personally and professionally, and I’m eager to bring those insights back to our team.”
The Pathfinder participants are identified as early-career emerging leaders who have distinguished themselves or show the potential to differentiate themselves within their organizations. The Pathfinder Program is designed to connect and train high-potential, early-career attorneys from diverse backgrounds with foundational leadership skills and relationship-building resources.
“Being selected for the Pathfinder Program is an incredible opportunity. The program’s network, leadership training, and focus on professional growth will play a meaningful role in shaping the next stage of my career,” Fowler said.
“Nelson Mullins has continually supported my development, and participating in LCLD is another invaluable step. The organization is highly regarded in our industry, and I’m grateful to represent the firm as part of this year’s class,” Jackson said.
