  • Represented healthcare providers and healthcare management services organization against a multiyear investigation by the Department of Justice into allegations that the providers and the company violated the False Claims Act.
  • Assisted the audit committee of a private healthcare company in performing an internal investigation into issues arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA).
  • Represented international accounting firms against enforcement actions and investigations by the SEC.
  • Represented international accounting firms against enforcement actions and investigations by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).

Extensive Korea Experience

  • Represented a Korean accounting firm in an internal investigation and subsequent PCAOB investigation in connection with its audit opinions.
  • Represented Korean individuals in the Department of Justice investigations of a potential bribery scheme of city officials.
  • Represented a Korean chemical company and its U.S. subsidiary as unsecured creditors in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.
  • Represented Korean oil and gas company in obtaining a $27 million breach of contract and fraud verdict.
  • Represented a Korean restaurant chain in license agreement negotiations with potential licensees in the U.S.
  • Represented a Korean oil and gas coupling manufacturer in a breach of contract and warranty dispute in federal court.
