Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP Partner Anita Wallace Thomas has been named to Lawyers of Color’s inaugural “Nation’s Best List,” which recognizes law firm partners and senior-level corporate counsel.
Thomas is a partner at the firm’s Atlanta office. She practices litigation involving general commercial disputes, automotive product liability, drug and medical device, product liability and toxic tort, and employment matters.
She serves as counsel and trusted advisor to local governments in all phases of litigation, internal investigations, and personnel training. She defends automobile manufacturers in product liability matters, and defends clients against charges of employment discrimination, harassment and wrongful discharge. She counsels employers in hiring, employing and firing employees and conducts pre-litigation internal investigations
Thomas has served as lead counsel in over 60 jury trials held in state and federal court. She previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting felonies for the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.
Honorees are selected based on their noteworthy accomplishments and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. This year, 100 attorneys were selected to represent the Eastern, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southern, Southwest and Western regions of the country.
