Nelson Mullins Represents Riza Yata Holding in Bolivia Agricultural Land Investment Fund
Nelson Mullins advised Riza Yata Holding in connection with the formation and implementation of a new US$20 million (approximately R$100 million) agricultural investment fund focused on acquiring and developing farmland in Bolivia's Beni region. The transaction was recently highlighted in AgFeed, which reported on Riza Asset's partnership with Yata Investment Management to acquire and develop approximately 22,000 hectares of land for agricultural production.
The investment vehicle is designed to transform pastureland into productive soybean and corn acreage in one of Bolivia's emerging agricultural frontiers. The fund targets long-term value creation through land development and infrastructure improvements, with an anticipated investment horizon of eight years.
Nelson Mullins partners Leandro Molina, Caio Prado, and senior associate Rebecca Lester led the firm's representation of Riza Yata Holding throughout the transaction. The team advised on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of the transaction, supporting a strategic investment positioned to capitalize on the continued growth of agricultural development across the region
The fund was structured through a partnership between Riza Asset, which manages approximately R$25 billion in assets, and Yata Investment Management, which has operated in the region for the past four years. The venture seeks to provide investors with exposure to agricultural land development opportunities while leveraging Yata's local operational expertise in Bolivia.
