Atlanta Associate George Ray has been selected as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. Ray was elected for a three-year term on the Board along with 11 other new members. The Board’s nominating committee recommends alumni for election to the Board based on service to Georgia Tech and the Alumni Association, activity in a candidate's community and profession, and philanthropy to Roll Call, the school's annual fund.
The Alumni Association aims to foster lifelong relationships, philanthropic support, and goodwill for the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a new member of its Board, Ray joins a diverse group of professionals committed to serving and promoting Georgia Tech and its alumni. Ray will attend quarterly meetings, serve actively on board initiatives, and further the mission of the Association. There were approximately 166,000 living Georgia Tech alumni as of 2019.
Ray graduated from Georgia Tech in 2009 with a BS in management and public policy before earning his JD from the University of Georgia School of Law. He focuses his practice specifically on Georgia government relations, state and local administrative law and regulatory proceedings, and business litigation. Ray has served as Regional Committee Chairman of the Georgia Tech President's Scholarship Program and as is a member of the Young Alumni Committee for the University of Georgia School of Law.
