4 New Georgia Laws Litigators Should Know

In one new act, the Georgia Legislature has simplified the process to appeal decisions to Georgia's state trial courts from lower jurisdictions like municipal courts and local government boards. Both state judges and lawyers have said the previous process was impossibly complicated.

"It's a more streamlined and easy-to-access process that makes a little more sense in the grand scheme of things," Ray said.
