The Triad Business Journal has recognized Winston-Salem associate Chelsea Barnes as a 20 in their 20s honoree. According to the publication, honorees were selected from a competitive group of nominees and represent some of the bright young talent in the Triad region.

In a Q&A with the journal, Barnes shared some of her professional goals, her most meaningful volunteer activity, what attracted her to the Triad region, and other personal insights. "I aspire to continue developing my skillset as an attorney and become a partner at my law firm," she says. "I want to continue to remain involved in the community and give back in other areas of my interests, such as issues impacting Native Americans."

Barnes focuses her practice on healthcare and litigation. She serves as chair of the Board of Directors for both LEAD Girls of N.C. Inc. and Addiction Recovery Care Association. A member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, she also works with Indigenous Pathways to Law, which aims to improve access to law school for indigenous high school students.
