At an event discussing the policy implications of autonomous vehicles hosted by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP on Tuesday, Rep. Mike Capuano (D-MA) (pictured above right with former Congressman and current Nelson Mullins Policy Advisor Ron Klink), warned that liability issues, data privacy, and proprietary technology could make fixing cars expensive by hurting independent repair shops' ability to serve customers. But to him, the biggest looming challenge is the economic disruption that will follow if millions of professional drivers are put out of work.
