This article provides an analysis of the U.S.-based Russia-Ukraine sanctions program and the unintended consequences resulting from said sanctions, including the sanctions’ affects on Russian people who live elsewhere in the world.
These sanctions are not generally aimed at startups that have Russian founders. However, many businesses owned or operated by recent Russian immigrants and refugees are still being treated as “blocked” by state agencies … despite the founders leaving Russia and establishing residences in nonsanctioned countries,” the authors wrote.
