Experience

  • Obtained an eight–figure verdict as first chair trial attorney against state’s largest privately held healthcare company in a Delaware reverse merger involving the squeeze out of minority owners, including extensive issues of business
  • Litigated one of the largest trust litigation matters in Florida history involving the estate of one of America's best-known entrepreneurs with hundreds of millions of dollars at issue. 
  • Successfully obtained judgments in favor of a Florida county in protecting its “Rural Area” in a dispute over its development boundary, in a case garnering national media attention.
  • Obtained an eight figure settlement in an intellectual property and commercial contract dispute in representing a Florida County over its high tech manufacturing hub.   
  • Represented one of the nation’s most prestigious “AmLaw 5” law firms as part of multi-billion dollar Federal Court litigation.
  • Won a defense jury verdict in a high publicity case for one of America’s largest universities
  • Prevailed at trial in a multi–million dollar contractual dispute regarding the development of intellectual property and software among high–tech companies. 
  • Successfully represented property owner and related insurers in premises liability– wrongful death claim stemming from allegations of negligent security
  • Has litigated dozens of construction defect cases that collectively totaled hundreds of millions of dollars in potential damages. Included in such work are numerous successful trials, arbitrations and class action certification hearings
  • Has appellate experience in both the state and federal court appellate systems and has more than a dozen reported decisions to his credit, many of which establish important legal precedents for future commercial disputes
  • Experienced in trust and probate litigation, including will contests, claims of undue influence or lack of capacity, probate accountings, actions brought against personal representatives or trustees, elective share issues, and actions involving creditor claims
  • Represented such clients as prominent regional and national development corporations, a state university and one of the nation’s largest school districts
  • Has practiced before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and American Arbitration Association panels including numerous bench and jury trials
