Marina focuses her practice on litigation and motions practice, with an emphasis on products liability, automotive, and FELA defense.  She has experience with all stages of litigation, from initial responsive filings, through discovery, including trial.  She actively participates in case work-up and strategy, takes and defends party and fact witness depositions, and has written and argued motions in both state and federal court.  She has authored briefing which led to the exclusion of expert testimony in multiple state and federal court FELA actions, as well as obtained a grant of case dismissal in a federal action on the “rocket docket” of the Eastern District of Virginia.  She also has experience trying a federal jury trial as the second chair to a favorable verdict for a target railroad defendant, including cross-examining witnesses, arguing motions and jury instructions, and formulating trial strategy.

Outside of the courtroom, Marina is an active member of the Richmond running community.  She also enjoys checking out the Richmond restaurant scene and cheering on UVA sports.
