Representative Matters 

  • Obtained reversal by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit of a lower court ruling that his developer client has chosen its remedy, thereby precluding monetary damages, when it initially sought specific performance in a construction-related contract dispute. 
  • Obtained Summary Judgment on behalf of a local educational institution in a Federal Court Title IX matter. 
  • Represented national insurance carrier in over seventy simultaneous matters involving underinsured motorist claim plaintiffs in federal court in southern West Virginia. 
  • Member of the trial team obtaining a complete defense verdict on behalf of an extended care living facility client and related corporate clients after a three-week jury trial in state court in northern West Virginia. 
  • Member of the trial team obtaining a complete defense verdict on behalf of a motor vehicle dealership in a premises liability matter in state court in southeastern Kentucky.

  • Jarrod is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, West Virginia.  He volunteers yearly for the Church’s annual Vacation Bible School and serves as a Leader of the Church’s weekly High School Bible Study group. 
  • Jarrod graduated from Lexington Bartending School in Lexington, Kentucky in 2000.  He often works as a volunteer bartender for local charity events, such as Marshall University’s annual silent auction to benefit the CONTACT Rape Crisis Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
