Adam represents clients across real estate, healthcare, transportation, and other industries.

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Adam served in a senior leadership role at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for U.S. Trustees, overseeing the government’s civil enforcement in bankruptcy cases, serving as a senior legal and policy advisor, and negotiating resolutions to nationwide disputes involving financial institutions and other parties. This experience gives Adam a unique perspective in anticipating and resolving hurdles that may arise in Chapter 11 cases, including in the context of first-day motions, professional retention issues, and plan confirmation.

Adam was recognized by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) as a “40 Under 40” insolvency practitioner (2019), serves as co-chair of ABI’s Ethics and Professional Compensation Committee, and is on the advisory board of ABI’s Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop. He is a frequent speaker and writer on emerging developments in bankruptcy law and practice.
