Jeff focuses his practice on a broad array of labor and employment matters, including litigation of claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal, state, and local law. Jeff has experience representing businesses from the outset to resolution of litigation, including second-chair trial experience, taking and defending depositions, successfully briefing and arguing complex dispositive motions, and negotiating settlements through the mediation process. Jeff’s litigation practice includes single-plaintiff claims under Title VII, the FLSA, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, OSH Act, and False Claims Act, as well as multi-plaintiff, class, and collective actions under the FLSA and Title VII.
Jeff also represents and counsels employers in governmental investigations and proceedings before the EEOC, OSHA, and equivalent state and local agencies, and has successfully defended numerous administrative charges and workplace safety citations. In addition to litigation, Jeff advises and trains clients on labor and employment matters, with a particular focus on issues of workplace safety. Jeff also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, often serving as a subject matter expert in the labor and employment field during the due diligence process.
