Under Leadership of Amy B. Cheng, Atlanta Bar Litigation Section Named Section of the Year

The Atlanta Bar Association’s Litigation Section has been named the Large Section of the Year, recognizing its outstanding contributions across programming, publications, community engagement, and member participation.

Atlanta partner Amy Cheng, who serves as section chair, has led with distinction, driving dynamic meetings, delivering impactful CLE programming, and fostering a culture of pro bono service, collaboration, and thought leadership. Under her leadership, the section has demonstrated excellence in key areas, setting a high standard across the bar.

Cheng joined the Atlanta Bar Association shortly after law school and has served in various leadership roles since 2016, including serving as President of the Association for the 2023-24 term.

Cheng and fellow section members will be honored alongside other award recipients at the Atlanta Bar Association’s 2026 Spring Gala & Annual Meeting on May 2, 2026.

Cheng is an experienced litigator who helps clients from early-stage startups to multinational corporations in healthcare and other industries with employment, commercial, white-collar, and government investigations matters. She regularly advises clients on critical business matters, including employment agreements and regulations, termination and grievance procedures, state and federal agency charges, breach of contract, and tortious claims. Cheng brings a business-savvy approach to assisting clients in mitigating and managing risks, and when disputes arise, she draws on her significant trial experience to advocate for her clients both in settlement negotiations and in the courtroom.
