NEW YORK — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher Edwards has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office and as a member of its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (EC/VC) team. Edwards joins Nelson Mullins from Reitler Kailas & Rosenblatt LLP, where he was a partner and a member of its Executive Committee.

Edwards advises a diverse range of clients, including venture capital funds, other early-stage investors, founders and companies at every stage of growth, from startups in financing rounds to companies in exit events. His practice encompasses venture capital equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions on the buy and sell side, fintech, securities regulation, and general corporate law.

“Chris brings a valuable combination of transactional experience, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing emerging companies and their investors,” said Joe Daniels, co-chair of the firm’s EC/VC practice. “His experience advising venture capital funds and startups across a wide range of industries makes him an excellent addition to our team. We are pleased to welcome him to Nelson Mullins and look forward to the contributions he will make to our clients and our growing New York presence.”

Edwards has extensive experience representing emerging growth companies across a broad spectrum of industries, including adtech, AI, cleantech, defense, digital health, financial data, fintech, insurtech, manufacturing, life sciences, mobility, proptech, retail, robotics, SaaS and SaaS platforms, space, and other technology sectors.

“I’m excited to join Nelson Mullins and its EC/VC team,” said Edwards. “I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues to help founders, investors, and startups navigate key stages of growth, from venture financings, growth transactions, and exits through mergers and acquisitions to the broader corporate matters that shape their success.
