HOUSTON – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce that Lena Serhan has joined the firm as a partner in the Houston office. She focuses her practice on complex cross-border and domestic disputes, including international arbitration, enforcement of international awards and judgments, and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Serhan joins the firm from White & Case LLP.

Serhan has extensive experience with major arbitral institutions, including the ICC, ICDR, AAA, CPR, DIS, ICSID, and LCIA. She represents clients in both commercial and investor-state matters across various industries such as oil and gas, renewable energy, power, banking, and social media technology. Her work frequently involves disputes related to long-term energy contracts, joint operating agreements, power purchase agreements, take-or-pay agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.

Serhan offers advisory counsel to help clients prevent conflicts before they occur. She assists in drafting arbitration and dispute resolution clauses and provides guidance on litigation risk management strategies. With her cross-jurisdictional experience, she often advises European clients with business interests in the United States, helping them navigate the U.S. legal system with practical, strategic guidance.
