Nelson Mullins Builds Momentum with Growing Greenville Litigation Team
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce the continued growth of its Greenville Litigation Team. Longtime firm partner John Kuppens and senior associate Kelly Reid transition to the team from within the firm, joined by returning associate Abbie McCoy.
Kuppens, a nationally recognized product liability attorney with more than 30 years of experience, enhances the team’s capacity to handle complex, high-stakes product liability matters. His knowledge of regulatory issues before the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will further strengthen the team’s ability to guide clients through compliance and risk-prevention challenges.
Reid focuses her practice on complex litigation, including commercial disputes, product liability matters, and international trade proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
McCoy rejoins Nelson Mullins after completing an 18-month clerkship for The Honorable Jacquelyn D. Austin, U.S. District Court Judge. McCoy concentrates her practice on commercial litigation and professional liability defense.
“We’re thrilled to welcome John, Kelly, and Abbie to the Greenville Litigation Team,” said Sam Outten, leader of the Greenville Litigation Team. “The addition of these three outstanding lawyers adds significantly to our ability to serve our clients.”
