Nelson Mullins Attorney Honored with N.C. Bar Association’s 2024 Advocates Award

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) has named Nelson Mullins partner G. Gray Wilson as the recipient of the 2024 Advocates Award, which is presented by the NCBA Litigation Section.

According to the NCBA Litigation Section, recipients of the award are trial lawyers who demonstrate high ethical standards, great skill, a commitment to serving clients, respect and love for the law, are held in highest regard by both bench and bar, demonstrate dedication to their community, and have a strong record of pro bono or volunteer service.

A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Wilson has decades of experience in a variety of complex litigation matters, trying more than 300 cases over the course of his career. He focuses his practice at Nelson Mullins on business and insurance litigation and professional liability defense. Wilson is also a previous president of the North Carolina State Bar and the NCBA.

Wilson will be presented the award at the NCBA Litigation Section’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 23, at Truist Stadium in Winston-Salem, prior to the Winston-Salem Dash baseball game. Litigation Section members can RSVP for the annual meeting here.
