Nelson Mullins Welcomes Experienced Litigation and Regulatory Partner to Houston Office

HOUSTON — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is thrilled to announce that Keith Russell has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston office, further strengthening the firm’s regulatory and industry-focused capabilities. Russell joins from BakerHostetler, where he led their Distribution and Franchise Team.

Russell represents manufacturers and distributors across a broad range of industries, including new motor vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, construction and agricultural equipment, emergency response vehicles, marine products, and powersports vehicles such as motorcycles and utility vehicles. He brings deep experience navigating the complex regulatory frameworks that shape these sectors.

“We are excited to welcome Keith to our Houston office,” said Houston office managing partner Craig Dillard. “His extensive regulatory experience and leadership background enhance our ability to serve clients across key industries. His arrival reflects our continued commitment to strategic growth in Houston.”

Russell counsels clients on cutting-edge issues, including the distribution of electric and automated vehicles, ongoing changes in the laws governing relationships between manufacturers and dealers, and the development of innovative management agreements governing relationships with both publicly and privately owned dealership groups.

“I’m looking forward to joining Nelson Mullins’ Houston office and working with clients on increasingly complex regulatory and distribution challenges,” said Russell. “The firm’s national reach creates a strong opportunity to support clients as they navigate a rapidly evolving landscape.”
