PITTSBURGH — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce that Nicole Vasquez Schmitt has joined the firm as a partner in its Pittsburgh office. Vasquez Schmitt brings a distinguished background as a seasoned federal prosecutor and extensive experience in complex litigation matters, enhancing Nelson Mullins’ expanding litigation and white-collar defense capabilities.

Vasquez Schmitt recently served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Pennsylvania, where she prosecuted a broad range of federal criminal cases, including cybercrime, national security, fraud, public corruption, civil rights, environmental, and financial crimes. In recognition of her work, she was awarded the Attorney General’s David Margolis Award for Exceptional Service, the Department of Justice’s highest honor.

“Nicole’s experience as an AUSA in Pittsburgh, combined with her time litigating complex commercial cases in New York, makes her an outstanding addition to our team,” said Matthew G.
