ATLANTA – Profiles in Diversity Journal has selected Marquetta J. Bryan, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Atlanta office, for a 2021 Black Leaders Worth Watching Award.
“These exceptional leaders demonstrate their talents and skills, their commitment to excellence, their willingness to mentor and support the next generation, and their involvement with the larger community,” according to the publication.
Bryan is an experienced legal partner and advisor to leaders of public, private and governmental organizations. She is dedicated to finding practical and cost-effective solutions for her clients’ opportunities and challenges, and supporting the health and achievement of the strategic objectives of the entities she represents.
Bryan focuses her litigation practice in the areas of education, employment, and general litigation, including defending public and private entities in general, business, and employment litigation brought under federal and state laws.
She defends clients in litigation, including through trial and appeal, negotiates operational agreements and settlements, writes and revises polices to ensure optimal operations, delivers trainings to all levels of employees and manages internal and external investigations.
Bryan also has a long history of nonprofit leadership, including serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Leadership DeKalb, a local leadership development organization, a member of the Emory University Alumni Board of Directors and the immediate past Chair of the Georgia Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society.
