Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP Atlanta partner Dennis Hom has been selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow for the upcoming 2021 class. Hom will begin the program in March.

The LCLD Fellows program is designed to connect diverse attorneys from preeminent organizations with one another, according to LCLD. During his time as an LCLD Fellow, Hom will participate in virtual meetings, virtual leadership lunches, virtual learning experiences, and a series of virtual events that focus on leadership and relationship building. LCLD states on its website that its mission is to create a truly diverse U.S. legal profession by connecting and guiding leadership from more than 350 corporations and law firms.

Baltimore partner Katherine Lawler, Columbia Office Managing Partner Sally Caver, Columbia partner Carmen Thomas, Atlanta partner Sanjay Ghosh, and Columbia partner Amanda Kitts are alumni of the LCLD Fellows program.

Hom focuses his practice in product liability litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, and commercial litigation. Beyond his work in high-stakes litigation, he rounds out his practice by participating in the firm's pro bono services. He provides complimentary wills and advance directives for first responders through Wills for Heroes and provides custody and immigration legal services for minors through Kids in Need of Defense. Hom joined Nelson Mullins in 2012 and was elevated to the partnership in 2019.
