The Atlanta Bar Association has selected Nelson Mullins partner Amy B. Cheng to represent the Association in the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association (ABA). Cheng has been an active member and leader of the Atlanta Bar Association for over a decade, serving in various leadership roles since 2016, including as President of the Association during the 2023-24 term. She currently serves as the past chair of the Association’s Litigation Section.

In addition to her leadership with the Atlanta Bar Association, Cheng is a co-chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee of the ABA Litigation Section. In that role, she works with other leaders to educate members on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues and advance the full, equal participation of lawyers in the legal profession.

The ABA House of Delegates is the ABA’s policy-making and ultimate governing body. It brings together delegates representing state, local, and specialty bar associations to draft, debate, and vote on resolutions that establish ABA policy on issues affecting the legal profession and the public. The House meets twice each year, at the ABA Annual and Midyear Meetings, and its work helps shape the ABA’s positions on matters of importance to the legal community and the law.

In her new role, Cheng will represent the Atlanta Bar Association in the ABA House of Delegates. Her selection adds another significant leadership role to her longstanding service to the Atlanta legal community and the legal profession.
