Nelson Mullins partners Gabe Imperato, Gina Greenwood, and Trish Markus are participating in the upcoming Healthcare General Counsel Forum hosted by Consero and will be hosting a special pre-conference roundtable event.

Imperato is part of Consero's advisory board. His practice includes representing individuals and organizations accused of healthcare fraud and assisting and advising healthcare organizations on corporate governance and compliance matters. He is board certified as a specialist in Health Law by the Florida Bar. He is also certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE/HCCA). Imperato has criminal and civil trial and appellate experience in federal and state courts and administrative forums, and he has personally handled leading national cases concerning criminal and civil healthcare fraud and abuse and healthcare law and policy.
Greenwood has a 20-year career in data privacy and healthcare law, practicing her entire career at three Am Law 100 law firms. Greenwood has successfully represented clients in hundreds of matters involving data privacy, cybersecurity preparedness, breach response, and Office for Civil Rights investigations. She focuses on HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule compliance; 42 C.F.R. Part 2 federal alcohol and drug abuse privacy compliance, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act privacy/security compliance, PCI DSS Standards Compliance; Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GBLA) privacy compliance; General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance; Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliance, and state consumer protection privacy, security, and breach notification laws.
Markus represents health care providers and related organizations across the country on regulatory compliance, reimbursement, licensure, and operational matters, with a special focus on issues surrounding health information privacy, security, and technology. Markus provides strategic and practical advice regarding HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and state data privacy and security laws; information blocking and interoperability requirements; telehealth and health information exchange initiatives; technology licensing and services arrangements; clinical research and patient care issues; and compliance and fraud and abuse matters. A frequent author and speaker, Markus currently serves as the President-Elect Designate of the American Health Law Association.
