Continuing the FinTech University series, join Richard Levin, chair of Nelson Mullins’ FinTech and Regulation Practice, and Nelson Mullins partners Brad Rustin, Jeff Kelly, and Caio Prado, and of counsel Mallory Acheson, for “FinTech and Artificial Intelligence.” In this one-hour session, they will examine current developments in artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the regulatory implications of AI within the banking and FinTech sectors.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit will be sought for all attorneys who request such and certificates of attendance are available for CPE purposes. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
Levin leads the firm's FinTech and Regulation Practice. He advises clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues.
Rustin chairs the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory Practice. He began his career as a litigator focusing on consumer financial services litigation and defense of regulatory claims against chartered and non-chartered financial institutions, finance entities, and money services business.
Kelly focuses his practice in areas of emerging technology, particularly in areas involving data analytics, digital assets, and FinTech. He works closely with entrepreneurs and companies to effectively navigate changing regulations, government investigations, and complex corporate and securities law challenges.
Prado provides strategic business–oriented advice to high–growth companies and investors as they face legal and business challenges. He focuses his practice on emerging growth and venture capital financings, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and business counseling for high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Acheson focuses on privacy and security compliance, technology transactions, and the intersection of data and electronic discovery issues. She helps clients navigate domestic and internal privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, TCPA, HIPAA, and GLBA.
