Denver of counsel Rachel Sternlieb will participate in a panel during the Faculty of Federal Advocates (FFA) Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Roundtable in Denver on Oct. 20. The event will offer four general CLE credits and will be followed by a cocktail hour.
Joined by her co-panelists, Judge Kimberly Tyson of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, Adam Hirsch of Davis, Graham, and Stubbs, and Joli Lofstedt of Onsager, Fletcher, and Johnson LLC, Sternlieb will discuss the Small Business Reorganization Act and the best practices for Chapter 11 filings including practice pointers, procedures, and observations.
In addition to Judge Tyson, judicial participants that are set to participate in the overall event are The Honorable Michael E. Romero, The Honorable Thomas B. McNamara, The Honorable Cathleen D. Parker, and The Honorable Joseph G. Rosania, Jr., all members of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.
Sternlieb focuses her practice at Nelson Mullins in the areas of complex commercial and business litigation, in both state and federal courts, as well as administrative forums and arbitration proceedings. Her practice includes matters ranging from business and contract disputes, including franchise and distribution litigation, to complex fraud and Ponzi scheme cases.
Being “dedicated to improving the quality of legal practice in the federal courts in Colorado by enhancing advocacy skills, professionalism, and the integrity of practice,” the FFA and its attorney members host opportunities to better the legal space in Colorado. The organization accomplishes this mission through various continuing legal education (CLE) options, networking events, mentoring, and much more.
