Richard B. Levin will moderate a panel on “Investing in Crypto and Tokens, Institutional Perspectives,” at the 2024 Wall Street Blockchain Alliance Crypto & Blockchain Summit. The panel will explore how traditional financial institutions are embracing digital assets, the regulation of digital assets, and the potential risks and rewards of this emerging asset class. The panel will discuss the rise of tokenization and the trading of digital assets. As part of the discussion, the panel will address the latest trends, strategies, and best practices for institutional investors in the crypto space. Members of the panel include David Brill of FTI Consulting, Maredith Hannon of WisdomTree, Gareth Rhodes of Pacific Street Research and Advisory, and Pat White of Bitwave.
Levin is the Chair of the FinTech and Regulation Practice at Nelson Mullins. He is one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. Richard has been advising FinTech clients on legal and regulatory issues since the start of electronic trading in the late 1990s. Richard’s practice focuses on the representation of early stage and publicly traded companies in the FinTech space, including investment banks, broker-dealers, investment advisers, digital currency trading platforms, ATSs, exchanges, and custodians. Levin has been recognized by Chambers and Partners for his knowledge of the securities regulatory issues associated with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, broker-dealer licensing, and alternative trading systems. He is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space and is routinely quoted by leading publications including Bloomberg, the New York Times, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal.
