Richard B. Levin, Chair of the Nelson Mullins FinTech and Regulation practice, will be a speaker at Web3Con on a panel on “Navigating Regulatory Landscapes in Web3”. Other leaders in the FinTech space will be speaking on the panel, including Arry Yu, head of strategy for the Global Blockchain Business Council, and Jacob Hample, head of U.S. government affairs for the Filecoin Foundation. Chicago Web3Con is a one-day convention, bringing together like-minded individuals interested in the future of the web. Levin is one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets and is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space. He has been advising FinTech clients on legal and regulatory issues since the start of electronic trading in the late 1990s. His practice focuses on the representation of early-stage and publicly traded companies in the FinTech space, including investment banks, broker-dealers, investment advisors, digital currency trading platforms, ATSs, exchanges, and custodians. Levin has been recognized by Chambers and Partners for his knowledge of securities regulatory matters, great relationships with regulators, helping clients push the boundaries of the FinTech sector, and advice on matters such as broker-dealer licensing and alternative trading systems.
