Four Nelson Mullins partners will be speaking at the upcoming 2023 Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation Conference hosted by the American Bar Association. The conference will take place April 19–21, 2023, at Omni Resort & Spa at Montelucia in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Christie focuses on regulatory and compliance issues facing the automotive industry. She has deep experience in motor vehicle safety matters, including navigating the complex concerns stemming from the development of autonomous technology and advanced driving systems.
Suzanne Swaner will also be speaking Thursday on a panel titled “You Buy It: We Break It.” This panel will cover the state-of-the-art testing currently available for automotive product defect litigation.

On Friday April 21, Jahmy Graham will speak on a panel titled “Navigating Challenges and Defenses to Jurisdiction, Venue, and Forum.” In light of recent appellate and Supreme Court cases on jurisdiction, venue, and arbitrations, this panel will analyze and discuss the current landscape affecting class actions and complex litigation from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives.

Tanya Scarbrough will also be speaking on Friday on a panel titled “What’s Hot and What’s Not in Crashworthiness.” Attendees will join leading trial lawyers from both sides of the bar as they address the latest trends in crashworthiness litigation, how they assess what claims to pursue, what claims are increasing, and reasons for these trends.
