Nelson Mullins will host the annual Nelson Mullins Value-Based Care Conference in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, Nov. 2. My colleagues and I will be joined by esteemed healthcare industry professionals at the Tower Club, where we will discuss key points and ideas that will allow participants to gain a stronger proficiency in structuring value-based arrangements.
As a part of the conference, at 1:05 p.m. that Thursday, Nov. 2, I will moderate a panel, “Using a Value-Based Enterprise as a Strategy,” with panelists Jeffrey J. Thramann of Influence Healthcare, and Nelson Mullins partners Mike Segal and Ed White. This group will talk about using a “Value-Based Enterprise,” a concept created under the new Stark and Anti-Kickback Statute regulations, as a business strategy to reduce compliance risks and give providers more flexibility and leverage in value-based contracting.
Additionally, at 3:25 p.m. I will be the moderator on the panel, “Navigating the Compliance Landscape in Value-Based Care.” White, Mandy Asgeirsson of the Berkley Research Group LLC, and Nelson Mullins partner Christine Burke Worthen, will be panelists. The trio will discuss the compliance issues and opportunities associated with Value-Based Agreements.
The topics covered in the conference pertain to white-collar work in a way that gives white-collar attorneys a better understanding of the concept that holds large healthcare providers accountable for the quality and cost of care, by those employers and consumers who are purchasers of healthcare. You can attend the conference in-person or virtually to earn Continued Learning Education (CLE) credit. We hope to see you all there.
