After many years and efforts, the legislature will again have another opportunity to repeal the literacy test for voting from the State Constitution. View Article.
US Senate Candidates
Just when you thought the political season was over, the 2022 elections are already heating up. Several candidates are considering running for the US Senate, including a Mayor from a small Eastern town and a native North Carolinian member of the Trump family.

Constitutional Convention
The legislature is considering joining 16 other states to call for a Constitutional Convention. The purpose would be to rewrite the US Constitution. View Article.
