She has extensive trial experience as well as extensive experience with motion practices and depositions. Kayla has significant experience developing case strategy, conducting discovery, preparing for and taking depositions, drafting and arguing motions, participating in hearings, trials, and other court-mandated appearances. Throughout her practice, she has first chaired nearly a dozen jury trials and over 40 bench trials. She has argued countless motions and taken hundreds of depositions of experts and fact witnesses. Kayla has represented clients in all stages of litigation from pre-litigation, to discovery, to trial. Kayla brings to her practice three years as a collegiate student-athlete and one year working for a collegiate athletics department and leverages that experience to provide practical, strategic advice to educational institutions and their athletics departments. Kayla also has prior experience in criminal law where she handled misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases from inception to trial.
