Jonathan represents borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks, and other financial institutions in a broad range of complex financing transactions. He regularly represents clients in construction and development financing, commercial mortgage and mezzanine lending, first  and second lien credit facilities, and asset based lending arrangements. His experience spans both domestic and cross border transactions, and he supports matters from initial structuring through closing.

Drawing on a background representing both borrowers and lenders, Jonathan brings a practical and collaborative approach to negotiating and documenting financing transactions. Jonathan is experienced in drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, including commercial lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, asset management agreements, security agreements, legal opinions, letters of credit, and other ancillary closing deliverables. He also manages and coordinates due diligence and closing logistics across compressed timelines, helping clients efficiently navigate complex financing processes.

Previous Professional Experience 

  • Associate, nationwide law firms (Oct. 2021 – Nov. 2025) 

Representative Matters 

  • Advised global private equity investor as administrative agent and lead arranger in $1.3 billion cross-border syndicated financing for the acquisition of an operating group that creates, acquires, manages and expands high-end events and experiences.
  • Advised the borrower in a senior subordinated financing for the acquisition of an aerospace equipment manufacturing company. 
  • Advised a national private equity real estate investment firm in the strategic development of travel centers and negotiated with a local municipality to obtain zoning approval. 
  • Advised a national bank as administrative agent and lead arranger in a $64 million financing comprised of a low-income housing tax credit and a senior secured revolving credit facility in connection with the strategic acquisition of a housing development project.
