Abe focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions. He regularly represents real estate developers, investors (including a mix of individual investors, REITs, and private equity firms), and hotel operators as it relates to the purchase and sale of real estate, title and survey analysis, development work, negotiation of loan documents, joint-venture agreements, and hotel management agreements. In addition to his extensive development, investment, and hospitality experience, he regularly represents commercial tenants and landlords in a variety of contexts including retail, office, and industrial; ground leasing, new construction properties, and second-generation space; and sale/leaseback transactions. 

Abe has a particular knack for sifting through the fine print to identify important items which most align with his clients’ business and growth goals. With deep experience in navigating all phases of the market cycle and capital stack, he remains eager to help the firm’s clients weather a variety of economic conditions, capitalize on market opportunities, and re-position, as needed, during the current cycle and beyond.

  • Abraham has, among other examples, served as counsel to condominium sponsors in connection with the development of luxury residential apartment buildings located in New York City; has represented the developer of a large Orlando-area entertainment center in borrowing $200M+ of senior and mezzanine financing; has represented buyers and sellers in the purchase or sale, as applicable, of individual apartment units in the New York and Miami areas; has negotiated long-term commercial leases on behalf of restaurant tenants, charter schools, and retail chains; and has advised clients on the formation of business relationships, organizational restructuring, and termination of business partnerships.
