Rebecca’s litigation, arbitration, appellate, and land use work focuses on representing clients in the financial services industry including regional and national banks, private equity firms, loan servicers, consumer finance companies, mortgage bankers, credit card issuers, debt buyers, third-party debt collectors, and REO asset management companies. Rebecca’s clients appreciate her ability to represent them throughout the entire proceeding from inception of dispute through trial, appeal, and subsequent REO asset management, having one go-to-person to manage and communicate with throughout all stages of the case.
Her financial services defense work encompasses claims brought under the Fair Housing Act (FHA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Regulation Z (Reg-Z), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Florida’s Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), civil R.I.C.O. claims, and the False Claims Act. Rebecca’s representation also includes defending claims arising from allegations of mortgage loan origination and servicing issues, consumer fraud, identity theft, predatory lending, lender-placed insurance, default loan workouts, lienholder title disputes, and class action defense.
Her practice also includes providing corporate representative witness training to financial institutions, as well as handling disputes involving branded residences, golf, country, and yacht clubs, and exclusive community associations.
