Experience

Representative Matters

  • Defended global real estate crowdfunding platform in breach of contract actions brought by former employees, which sought to enforce grants of certain employee benefits; successfully briefed motions to dismiss based upon documentary evidence which barred the claims. (NY Sup. Ct., 2019).
  • Defended international private investment company and its officers in a multi–party suit concerning a $100 million financing deal that did not close, alleging fraud and tortious interference with contract via an agency theory of liability; court dismissed all claims in their entirety based upon lack of personal jurisdiction and inadequate pleading (S.D.N.Y., 2021).
  • Defended Italian sports car dealerships in an action for breach of contract, fraud, and eight other causes of action, including an attempt to pierce the corporate veil, in connection with an alleged promise to sell vehicles; court granted pre–answer motion to dismiss in its entirety. (Nassau Sup. Ct., 2018).
  • Prosecution of a breach of contract action relating to promissory notes and equitable relief on behalf of private equity investors. (NY Sup. Ct., Comm. Div., currently pending).
