Nelson Mullins senior policy advisor Rod Hall was appointed by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger to serve on the board of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), one of the most influential regional transportation and economic development bodies in the Washington metropolitan area. Hall will serve a six year term.

MWAA oversees operations and long‑term planning for Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, two of the nation’s most critical transportation hubs. Board members play a central role in guiding airport operations, infrastructure investments, and regional transportation coordination.

Appointments to the MWAA board are among the most significant regional leadership roles in Virginia, reflecting the authority’s impact on aviation policy, economic development, and major infrastructure initiatives. The Governor of Virginia appoints seven of the board’s seventeen members, representing the largest share of appointments and underscoring the Commonwealth’s leadership role in airport governance.
