LMG Life Sciences, a legal directory focused on the life sciences, has shortlisted two Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP partners for their 2023 Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year awards. Jane Remillard is nominated for Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year in Massachusetts, and Susan Jackson is nominated for the same award in the South.
Remillard leads the Life Sciences – Intellectual Property Team and has over 30 years of experience providing worldwide patent counseling in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Based in the firm’s Boston office, her practice focuses on developing and implementing effective IP strategies, building strong patent portfolios, and facilitating commercialization of products, particularly antibody-based therapeutics, through all phases of development. Remillard won the Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year Award in 2021.
Jackson is the office managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office and a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Jackson has over 25 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, management of global patent portfolios, and patent counseling. She has experience in chemical and biochemical inventions as well as in bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, antimicrobials, and medical devices.

According to the organization, LMG serves as a comprehensive breakdown of life sciences industry leaders on both the firm and attorney level that specialize in corporate, regulatory, litigation and intellectual property matters.
