Houston partners Mark L. Jones and Patrick LaRue were recently recognized by The Legal 500 among Houston's "Elite" attorneys. 

Jones was rated as Tier 1 for his work in Energy Transactions, and LaRue was rated Tier 2 in the inaugural edition of the Houston Corporate/M&A series.  

In his decades of practice, Jones boasts extensive experience representing both buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of companies, particularly in the energy and energy service sectors. Additionally, he taps into his in-house industry experience to assist buyers in due diligence efforts, submitting successful bids, and drafting purchase agreements.

LaRue’s practice focuses on transactional matters, corporate counseling, governance and advisory services, and mergers and acquisitions. He has more than two decades of experience serving clients and industries in a host of fields. He also serves as outside general counsel to start-ups, emerging companies, private equity portfolios, family offices, partnerships, and joint ventures.

The recognition for the duo is the latest for Nelson Mullins in the "Cities Elite" rankings series from Legal 500, which is currently expanding across the nation. Firm attorneys in Boston, Cleveland, and Atlanta have been ranked in the past year.
