Nelson Mullins senior policy advisor Chris Cushing and partners Ambassador David Wilkins and Andrew Heath have been selected among “Washington’s most influential government relations leaders” by Bloomberg Government in its Top Lobbying Firms Report. The honorees will be recognized by Bloomberg at a special event, “A Decade of Influence: Policy Makers & Power Players,” in Washington, D.C., on May 15. The celebration marks the 10th anniversary of Bloomberg Government’s report on top lobbying firms, highlighting a decade of in-depth data and industry insights.
Cushing has 35 years of experience in government, politics, and corporate public policy. He is an experienced political advisor and strategist, having held leadership positions in successful presidential campaigns across three continents.
Wilkins serves on the government relations strategies group with a special focus on the U.S.-Canada relationship. He proudly served as the U.S. ambassador to Canada from June 2005 to January 2009, having been appointed by President George W. Bush.
Heath is a former judge and a top adviser to the North Carolina governor and the chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. He helps clients navigate the legislative process and regulatory environment, acting as an advocate to achieve results in both Raleigh and Washington.
