Nelson Mullins Expands Minneapolis Litigation Team with Product Liability Partner

MINNEAPOLIS – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce that Christine Kain has joined the firm as a partner in its Minneapolis office. She joins the firm from Faegre Drinker.
Kain is a trial lawyer who defends pharmaceutical, medical devices, food and beverage, and other manufacturers in high-stakes class actions, mass torts, product liability, and consumer fraud cases. She has served as both national and local counsel, handling matters across a broad spectrum of products and industries, including pharmaceutical products, medical devices, asbestos, food recalls, foodborne illness outbreaks, and consumer fraud class actions.

“Christine is a highly accomplished litigator with a proven track record of success in some of the most complex and demanding areas of litigation,” said Alana Bassin, office managing partner of the firm’s Minneapolis office and leader of the Minneapolis Litigation Team. “Her depth of experience and strategic approach make her a valuable addition to our Minneapolis office and our litigation team.”

She has led company case teams, working closely with the clients on affirmative and defensive discovery, and has led expert teams, working with experts on the medicine and science underlying the litigation. Beyond her product liability practice, Kain also brings extensive experience in commercial and premises liability litigation.

“I’m excited to join the firm’s Minneapolis office,” said Kain. “There is a real opportunity to build on the team’s momentum here while serving clients locally and across the country in high-stakes matters.”
